Position Overview:
We are currently seeking to hire an Intelligence Analyst with solid experience in the intelligence and security industry at our client\xe2\x80\x99s site in Singapore. Under the general direction of the Embedded Intelligence Services (EIS) department, the successful candidate will be expected to apply linguistic capabilities, research acumen, and analytical techniques to produce accurate and detailed reports on various political, security, socio-economic, terrorism, and human rights issues.

As an Intelligence Analyst, you will be required to help identify, evaluate and monitor ongoing threats and risks that could affect business operations, and to provide the client with the information needed to make critical decisions. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and manage research work, adhere to strict deadlines, and produce clear and concise written reports.
English language and literacy skills must be of a high standard as the successful candidate will be responsible for compiling reports into disseminatable products which convey the relevance and importance of the content. A high proficiency in IT is a must, including in-depth experience with Microsoft Office.

Formal training in intelligence analysis would be highly desirable as would a knowledge of, and interest in, open-source intelligence techniques. To be successful in the role you will need to be a critical thinker, have excellent research acumen, and can demonstrate analytical prowess in the production of bespoke research products. Knowledge and experience with producing analytical reports are essential and candidates will be expected to demonstrate and provide examples of this at the interview.

This position will be located at our client\xe2\x80\x99s office in Singapore. Remote work is not possible.

Responsibilities:

• Daily monitoring of physical, political, and economic risks globally using public and private sources.
• Maintain a global network of security and intelligence relationships to the benefit of the client.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of collection techniques and tools available to the client, using these methods and platforms to complement your investigative skills to answer specific requirements and provide insight.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the functionality of, and data available from, internal databases to produce detailed quantitative and qualitative reports.
• Maintain awareness of regional reporting critical to the business in order to conduct research / analysis in support of operations and management. Proactively consider products that could be produced to enhance content for future reporting.
• Be prepared to conduct flexible research / collection / production in support of business requirements, both in response to business requirements and to provide enhanced content to Incident Management teams and working groups. Be prepared to develop collection plans and design reporting outputs in response to specified requirements.
• Contribute to scenario planning, due diligence assessments, and new market entry projects i.e. M&As.
• Contribute insight to scheduled and ad hoc Board level reporting, bespoke intelligence assessments, and deep dive analysis.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with conducting open-source research and analysis.
• Intricate knowledge of social media platforms and how they can be utilized for research purposes.
• Experience with conducting open-source sentiment analysis and using bulk data.
• Formal training in intelligence analysis.
• Fluent in the language, principles, and processes of ISO 31000 and the wider family of risk management standards.
• Knowledge of security risk assessment qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
• Skilled in operational resilience-related business impact analysis (BIA), and identification, analysis and mitigation of single point of failure (SPoF) insurance business processes.
• Knowledge of risk appetite and tolerance frameworks and management information reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Project management experience is desirable.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities against multiple target deadlines.
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area (security studies, international relations, etc.) \xe2\x80\x93 master\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred \xe2\x80\x93 and at least 2 years demonstrable experience within the industry.
