Job Description

What the role is:
The Government Partnerships & Engagement Group (GPEG) contributes to the development of a collaborative government that empowers partnerships and engagement (PE) with citizens for a better Singapore. It does this through the development of public sector capabilities in partnerships and engagement, external partnerships and the design and organisation of Whole-of-Government (WOG) PE initiatives. Within GPEG, the Planning & Development (P&D) team drives the development of public sector PE capabilities in the areas of PE policy, organisational capacity, workforce planning and development, and stakeholder management and engagement. The intern will contribute to the creation of a knowledge repository aimed at enhancing the Partnership and Engagement (PE) capabilities in MCCY's Government Partnership and Engagement Group (GPEG) and the broader Public Service. This repository will assimilate and organise a wide array of foundational PE documents and will contribute significantly to the efficiency and effectiveness of PE work within MCCY and the Public Service. The intern will tackle the challenge of distilling complex and diverse information into a user-friendly format through exploring innovative solutions. This will culminate in the creation of an internal knowledge repository that supports division-wide knowledge management and alignment, including building a GenAI chatbot prototype to house the repository. As a secondary objective, the project will explore the potential for creating an external-facing GenAI first-stop resource hub for the broader Public Service. Through this, the intern will learn first-hand about the partnership and engagement domain in the Public Service in its current operating environment. The intern will be able to apply product planning and development skills, exercising key stakeholder engagement and critical thinking capabilities.
What you will be working on:
There are three key project phases and deliverables: Phase 1: Creation of knowledge repository Research on knowledge repository formats Engage divisional teams to determine criteria for inclusion of information into repository Collate and organise materials Build knowledge repository Plan for maintenance for repository Phase 2: Prototype of GenAI transformation of repository Research on government GenAI chatbot-making tools Transformation of knowledge repository into GenAI chatbot(s) User-testing and iterative refinement of GenAI repository Presentation on key insights on building repository, potential use cases Phase 3: Exploration of scaling GenAI repository for whole-of-government (WOG) use Evaluation of GPEG external-facing resources and documents Proposal on potential GenAI first-stop resource hub for WOG use Prototyping of GenAI first-stop resource hub
What we are looking for:

• Minimally undergraduate level who can commit at least 3 months, and up to 6 months Strong technology background in the use of AI tools; knowledge of Tableau would be useful Keen interest in public policy and government-citizen partnerships Able to write well and communicate clearly Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and interact with stakeholders Application Details: We are seeking interns who can commit on a full-time basis.
