05 The Role:S&P Global Commodity Insights is seeking candidates for our 10-week internship program within our Conferences, Training & Strategic Media business line as a part of our IMPACT ( Innovative Mentoring and Professional Acceleration in Commodities ) Program aimed at developing early career talent globally.The Team:SPGCI Training, offering cross-commodity industry fundamentals training to energy majors globally, is expanding to become a market leader in the industry. Our training business brings an unparalleled combination of leading industry experts, world class data and insights, and strategic mindset to help organizations with their people learning & development needs. Our training catalogue covers the commodity value chain and alumni includes policy makers, investors, and energy market leaders on the most relevant topics of the industry, including:

  • Energy Transition Strategy and Policy
  • Hydrogen
  • Renewables and Power Markets
  • Carbon Markets
  • Gas Markets (Including LNG)
  • Bio / Renewable fuels and feedstocks
  • Oil & Gas Exploration, Production, and Infrastructure
  • Oil Markets, Refining and Chemical Industries
  • Agricultural business
The Training business is growing rapidly and is looking for high caliber talent passionate about the ongoing transformation in the Energy & Chemical Industry.The Impact:As the energy & chemical industry undergoes its biggest transformation of the last century, investors, regulators, and energy companies are requiring our support to navigate through this period of change. As part of S&P Global\'s Training Team, you will support the marketing & logistically of training courses taking place in Singapore in the second half of the year. You will work closely with our training team in solving our client\'s pressing issues, allowing you to:
  • Gain a deeper understanding of the different commodity value chains.
  • Work side by side our industry experts, as they unravel for our learners some of the most pressing challenges the energy industry is facing today.
  • Be part of a global development program designed to create the space for you to invest in your personal and professional development.
  • Join a global community, building an invaluable network of knowledge and support from your mentors, peer group and wider teams.
Responsibilities:As an intern in the Training Team, you will participate in a variety of projects & initiatives and will be expected to:
  • Network and collaborate with various S&P Global subject matter experts around the world in the planning, marketing and delivery of training courses.
  • Open up new marketing channels in the region (e.g. via industry associations)
  • Onsite point person for training courses responsible for
  • Placing print orders based on registration numbers and ensure manuals are received prior to course
  • Arranging daily catering & beverage service for each training
  • Printing name badges, table tents, certificates and course evaluations
What We\'re Looking For:
  • Fully matriculated graduate or post-graduate student in penultimate year of study (graduation date: Winter 2024 or Summer 2025)
  • Concentration in Business, Marketing, Operations or energy related disciplines are preferred.
  • Keen interest in, and familiarity with, the energy & chemical sector
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
