What the role is

The intern will work with the corporate communications team to develop multimedia content that increases awareness of Tote Board\xe2\x80\x99s grantmaking efforts. Digital Media and Branding Communications Project Description : The intern will work with the corporate communications team to develop multimedia content that increases awareness of Tote Board\xe2\x80\x99s grantmaking efforts. He/She will play an active role in brainstorming, conceptualising and bringing these ideas to life on social media platforms and the corporate website. In sourcing and curating these content, he/she will engage and interact with internal and external stakeholders from all levels, with the aim of enhancing the Tote Board brand equity and positioning in the philanthropy sector. The intern will be required to:

  • Curate inspirational stories for external audiences and propose ways to present them in today\xe2\x80\x99s dynamic communications world
  • Conceptualise, script, film and produce videos focusing on the impact of Tote Board\xe2\x80\x99s grants
  • Conduct interviews of grant beneficiaries and staff, and write stories and feature articles that are suitable for website and/or social media platforms
  • Work closely with the social media agency to curate engaging content that inspires a caring and resilient community
  • Explore new ideas and channels of communication that outreach to a wider/younger target audience
  • Support the team in other communications-related tasks if the need arises
Key project deliverables* include, but is not limited to:
  • Short videos of the impact of grants on the lives of beneficiaries and the community
  • Long form feature articles and stories for publishing on print, website and social media platforms
  • Content creation for social media content calendar
  • Project deliverable requirements may vary or rescoped accordingly
Project Requirements :
  • A self-starter who is passionate about branding, communications, and new media
  • A budding storyteller with strong communication and creative writing skills
  • Ability to research, engage external stakeholders and communicate effectively
  • Experience in digital content creation and video production (access to equipment and software would be an advantage)
  • Possess an ability to think out of the box for new ideas and is enthusiastic about implementing them
  • Available for a minimum of 8 weeks
  • Preferred profile of Interns: Year 2 or 3, Communications Studies or Communications and New Media students

  • Experience a spectrum of communications-related tasks working in a corporate communications team alongside brand and social media management agencies
  • Exposure to and appreciation of public communications in the public service and non-profit sector
