Project Introduction

Wafer fabrication in foundry is the fundamental of all electronics appliances in the semiconductor supply chain. Productivity study is critical since it is important to obtain optimal wafer output during the manufacturing processes. This can be fulfilled with Industrial Engineering\'s data analysis, streamlining of business processes and reports automation.

Project Description

Overview and Function of Industrial Engineering (IE)

Overview of wafer fab and tool operation

Overview of productivity analysis tool

Automate and streamline various business processes like factory data extraction, preparation, analysis & reporting

Establish mathematical models to capture, predict and manage tool performance of different tool types

Prepare and conduct audit to ensure compliance to industry standards

Project Outcome

Students will be tasked to carry out analysis to improve the process performance. A detailed technical report with concluding results is to be furnished.

At the end of the internship, an overall report to summarize their learning experience with recommendations for improvement is required.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor in Industrial & Systems Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science & Engineering
