Job Description

The annual A*STAR Corporate Internship Programme (A*CIP) provides interns insight into how A*STAR bridges the gap between academia and industry by translating R&D into economic and social outcomes.

The 2023 A*CIP is a ten-week programme from 8 May 2023 to 14 July 2023. Through the A*CIP, you will gain insight into how A*STAR supports, oversees, and coordinates public sector research and development in strategic areas as well as cultivate and exchange an extensive network of industry partners.

You may also have opportunities to interact with the A*STAR leadership and visit our A*STAR Research Institutes which carry out a spectrum of R&D activities, as ranging from knowledge creation, enabling capabilities, large scale programme to industry-oriented activities. We have several interesting projects under the 2023 A*CIP, and we welcome all who are interested to put in an application with us!

Project Title:
Singapore?s Decarbonisation Plans: Making Sense of R&D and Deployment Scenarios for Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage (CCUS), and Hydrogen

Project Scope:
The intern will work with the Innovation & Enterprise Division to:

Conduct a review and literature scan of other countries? CCUS and Hydrogen strategies and technologies.
Identify world-class R&D research centres which A*STAR could partner, to co-develop technologies.
Analyze countries Singapore should partner with from the supply chain perspective.
Better understand Singapore?s capabilities and determine the competitive edge of our researchers/ companies within the global landscape.

Project Requirements:

• Students pursuing a degree in Energy-related, Chemical-related, Sustainability-related disciplines
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Effective communication and writing skills
