Intern, Pharmacology - Hummingbird Bioscience

ABOUT THE ROLE

Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking an Intern, Pharmacology to build technical capabilities for our robust pipeline and growing projects. The intern will learn skills associated with antibody drug development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The intern will support by performing hands-on experimentation using a wide range of molecular and cellular techniques for functional screening of therapeutic antibodies including but not limited to:

• Cell-based bioassay using mammalian cells
• Multiplex protein analysis using ELISA, Luminex
• Cell profiling using multiplex flow cytometry and imaging
• Molecular characterization using western blot, PCR, cell-based reporter assay and cell cycle analysis
• Antibody characterization including: ADCC, CDC, internalization, and degradation assays
• Critically analysis and interpretation of data

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Biology or related fields
• A basic understanding of cell biology, immunology, and the relationship between antibody structure and function
• Experience handling Mammalian cell culture with the ability to maintain multiple cell lines simultaneously is highly desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work in cross-functional project teams
