The intern will be assisting in research on dry bulk shipping or commodity markets, and will report to Research Directors with the following responsibilities:
- To assist in the gathering, summarizing and analysing of relevant company, industry and macroeconomic information using a broad spectrum of appropriate sources.
- To support research team members in providing synthesis, insight and practical implications within tight deadlines, via end products in the form of single exhibits, written summaries, basic fact packs and spreadsheets.
- Determine the appropriate and timely initiatives / solutions to meet the team\xe2\x80\x99s needs, with minimal guidance.
Based on the candidate\xe2\x80\x99s performance during the internship, the intern may be considered as potential candidates for Junior Research Analyst roles or our Management Trainee Program (Research Track) upon graduation.
Job Requirement
- Must be pursuing a degree in economics, finance, mathematics, business or related fields.
- Previous internship experience in research roles in dry bulk shipping / commodities / economics / commercial settings will be an added advantage, but not a requirement.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills will be an added advantage, but not a requirement.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
