Position Summary:

At Thales Research and Technology (TRT), we extend the influence of Thales within the scientific and technical communities, offering a platform for innovation and knowledge sharing, and attracting talented science graduates to build on our acquired expertise. The ideal candidate joining the team will participate in the development of relevant multiphysics model for material applications (e.g. Acoustic, Piezoelectric etc). In the course of your work, you will learn, understand and appreciate the processes involved in engineering design.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

Picking up COMSOL modelling for acoustic, heat transfer and electric module.

Learn the mechanism of operation for the application and identify the physics required for model implementation

Design and develop working multiphysics models using COMSOL Multiphysics.

Develop the process required to implement 3rd party automation tools such as modeFRONTIER or using MATLAB / Python scripts to automate parametric studies in COMSOL.

Requirements:

Keen interest in data analysis and multiphysics simulation modelling

Experience of CAD and building physics models welcomed

Skills in scripting/programming (MATLAB, Python)

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Proactive in providing assistance to team members

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of your internship, you will have:

Multiphysics modelling using COMSOL Multiphysics

Automation scripts using MATLAB / Python

Data analysis, validation with experimental results and evaluation report relating to the models generated.

Experienced the dynamic working environment in a research centric department
