ING\xe2\x80\x99s regional presence includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing, China and a 30% stake in TMBThanachart Bank in Thailand.Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING\'s Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.What does the TRM Team do in ING?TRM covers market risk management & control and product control within ING.Under market risk management and control, the team ensures that the trading (Financial Markets) and banking books of the bank are governed in line with the risk appetite set by the board and the senior managementProduct control activities are related to controlling the P&L and balance sheet of the different trading desks under Financial Markets.What would you be doing?Singapore is the regional hub for ING, including for market risk activities. There are a number of different Financial Markets desks controlled/supported by TRM including rates, credits, FX, structured products, non-linear derivatives, etc. The internship would cover:Understanding the business of the desk and how the risk framework is designed to control the activitiesDaily P&L and Risk reporting and analysisWorking on ad hoc ongoing projects related to risk managementAssisting the team lead in specific risk analysis as and when requiredThere would be exposure to policies and procedures governing this desk, which in turn are based on a number of items including regulations, bank\xe2\x80\x99s risk management philosophy, current economic climate, etc.What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:Major in Finance/Accounting and/or Quantitative Finance streams (is a plus)Good written and oral communication skillsShould have sufficient knowledge of MS ExcelVBA / coding knowledge is a plusGood time management and adaptabilityYou should have legal work rights in SingaporeNeed more information?
