Preferred Course of Intern: Bachelor in Chemical/Biomedical Engineering/Engineering Job Purpose: Drive key improvement projects for the Value Stream department in GSK Biologicals. The intern will work under the guidance of the manufacturing team and will be required to collaborate and manage stakeholders from other functions like Quality and Technical Services to ensure that project milestones are delivered. Key Activities:

• Support the team in decommissioning activities for production equipment
• Coordinating with the stakeholders from Quality Assurance, Technical Services and Operations to ensure key deliverables are met
• Support the operations team in managing the daily production activities, including troubleshooting production issues and assisting in deviation investigation/report writing
• Able to drive improvement projects for the operations team
• Assist in the revision of operational/safety documents

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand and learn about the fermentation/purification processes in the biopharmaceutical industry
• Learn the validation methodology and requirements for biopharmaceutical process equipment
• Have the opportunity to interact with various functions in the company and gain insights into their respective responsibilities
• Experience the dynamic nature of manufacturing operations and gain insights into the key considerations for manufacturing operations

Business Skills and Competencies: Proficient in MS Office
