ExxonMobil in Singapore

ExxonMobil is one of Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s largest foreign manufacturing investors with over S$25 billion in fixed asset investments.

We have manufacturing facilities that include an integrated world-scale refining and petrochemical complex in Jurong and Jurong Island, a network of service stations under the Esso brand, operate a lubricant plant and are a supplier of cylinder cooking gas. ExxonMobil provides customers and commercial markets in the region with ground transportation, industrial, aviation and marine fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

As Singapore serves as the AP hub for some of our businesses, we employ about 3,500 people across positions in operations, projects, commercial, corporate support functions and others.

What you will do

Through our internship program, you will gain first-hand experience with an industry leader in the refining and petrochemical industry, where your work, and that of the teams, contributes to the growth and future of our business, as we provide energy, sustainable products and solutions for society. You will have the opportunity to explore your career aspirations while delivering tangible benefits throughout our business from invaluable on-the-job-experience. Beyond that, you won\xe2\x80\x99t be going it alone as you will have a supervisor & buddy assigned to you who can help you navigate the organization, give advice on your development & help you learn what it takes to achieve your goals.

As part of the assessed internship, you\xe2\x80\x99ll have a formal final review on project delivery and performance by your supervisor. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also be asked to prepare a final presentation or report out about your project.

An internship with us can also be seen as a way to kickstart your career, as your performance will be assessed, and outstanding candidates may be given a full-time job offer. We prioritize our employment offers to outstanding candidates on our internship program over those without internship.

About you

Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible for our Internship Program, you should be:

• Preferably in your penultimate year of study
• A degree in in Maritime Studies, International Trading, Engineering, Business or a related field from a recognized University, preferably Second Upper Honors and above, and / or with leadership experience in non-academic areas such as Co-curriculum activities or National Service.
• An effective team player with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work after hours, outside of work schedule to resolve operational changes. Operations activity occurs 24/7 and often requires communication off hours.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail; process documentation
• Problem-solver
• Successful candidates may be assigned to either a Voyage Optimizer or Scheduler role
