This is an Internal Controls, ERM & Compliance Manager position for a new set up under a listed Japanese Conglomerate. It is a newly created position where the individual gets to be part of the team to set up/expand the Regional Controls and Risk function for APAC.

Our client is a listed manufacturing company with strong presence in the APAC region. The company has set up a new entity and is looking for an Internal Controls, ERM & Compliance Manager position to work closely with HQ and enhance the Risk & Control capabilities for APAC market.

Description

Reporting to the Head of Internal Controls, you will:

• Be responsible for Internal Controls, ERM and Compliance function for over 40 subsidiaries across APAC region
• Establish proper controls, conduct site assessment, streamline workflow processes to drive effective operational risk programme
• Implement Enterprise Risk Management including governance, formation of policies, lead control self assessment (CSA) programme
• Prepare reports, assess areas of risk fraud, compliance, cyber security etc., present key risk impact to Risk committee with remediation plans
• Develop dashboards, build tools / adopt data analytics to perform analysis of key risk factors
• Conduct workshops, provide comprehensive training to senior management team

Profile

• Degree qualified in Business, Finance, Law with at least 8 years of working experience in Risk, ERM, Internal Controls
• Foundation gained with a Big 4, qualifications in CA, CIA or CFE will be highly advantageous
• Industry experience in manufacturing set up, able to lead operational and enterprise risk assessment independently
• Experience designing COSO, ERM frameworks from scratch
• Proficient in using data analytics tool, derive data and input into presentation decks for management
• Excellent analytics, interview, communication and project management skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills, confident to engage with leadership and escalate issues
