Meta is seeking an experienced professional to join the International Statutory Controllership team. This role reports to an International Accounting Manager and is based in Singapore.International Accountant ResponsibilitiesResponsible for achieving timely and accurate statutory financial statements compliance for an assigned portfolio of entitiesBuild relationships and manage service levels with key external vendors and BPO supporting the preparation of financial statements and review the work of our outsourced partnersCoordinate and manage the audit process with our statutory auditors for assigned entitiesWork closely with Meta Tax Teams for the filing of Corporate tax and VAT returnsReview Tax-related balance sheet reconciliations monthly and quarterly for US GAAP close for assigned entitiesLead and support projects to optimize and transform the INTL Statutory Compliance process by analyzing areas of opportunities. Design, test and roll-out new tools , solutions, processes and frameworks for the INTL Statutory Controllership TeamCollaborate with INTL Technical Operations and Technical Accounting Teams in consistent implementation of IFRS and other accounting or non-financial standards for assigned entitiesPrepare/review technical accounting memos for significant or complex transactions in collaboration with the technical accounting teamCollaborate with XFN partners within and outside Finance to execute business objectives, providing support to management where required including any adhoc or project work assigned.Minimum Qualifications8+ years relevant experience with a fast-growing, multinational company or professional services i.e. Big FourBachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplineRecognized accounting qualification (CA, ACCA)Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAPAble to operate with a high degree of autonomyHighly collaborative, excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being comfortable with navigating changeSuperb attention to detail and possess a macro viewExperience implementing and improving business processes and systemsPreferred QualificationsSecond language for work related responsibilities and international working experience is a plusLocationsAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
