Details of the Division and Team

As a member of the Lending, A&S (Advisory and Sales), PPSS (Product Platforms & Sustainable Solutions) & CIO COO APAC team, the incumbent will play an important role in delivering on business priorities and managing the business risks within Products specifically in Lending. This includes leading and supporting a variety of tactical and strategic tasks, as well as providing day-to-day business support in the Lending space. The role sits within the IPB Lending function, which designs lending and credit solutions that ultimately support our clients\xe2\x80\x99 unique and often complex liquidity and investment needs.

Your key responsibilities

Business Management

Define and facilitate overall business strategy and facilitate annual budgeting process and ambition planning

Lead, monitor and coordinate financial and management information (budget, revenue, cost)

Strategy and Execution

Lead and execute business priorities and projects

Act as coordination point with Global and APAC COO and AGILE teams on infrastructure enhancements

Risk and Control

Ensure awareness of and strict adherence to the regulatory framework and applicable bank policies and procedures

Define and support rollout of various business and risk frameworks; This includes working with business partners such as Finance, DCO, Compliance to develop and optimize operational framework to enhance risk and control awareness and supporting Lending business on the on-going supervisory oversight duties in compliance with established internal and external policies and procedures.

Support in asset-class centric audits and reviews and ensure timely closure of identified risk items

Ensure all NPA conditions are fully tracked to completion or closure

Participate and support in asset-class centric regulatory projects (both Global and APAC). This includes supporting gap analysis and working closely with Lenders and relevant stakeholders on implementation of various legal regulatory and control initiatives to enable the APAC franchise to continue operations in a compliant manner

Lead on operational incidents and control enhancement, including defining and implementing controls and risk mitigation actions

Business Support

Prepare business review presentations and regular/ ad-hoc reports

Conduct analytics to aid management decision-making on pricing, asset-liability management, and performance management.

Champion Lending and A&S, PPSS and CIO business in various forums

Own and drive business processes and KOPs within each product vertical

Providing day-to-day business support and managing operational issues and queries from Lenders and support functions

Gatekeep for specific system/ data accesses

Your skills and experience

A minimum of 7 years for AVP, 10 years for VP or 15 years for Director; with at least 3 years in the Private Banking or Wealth Management or Global Markets industry

Knowledge in Wealth Management/Private Banking Lending products and good understanding of Lending risk and control frameworks; Credit experience and knowledge in investment products (FX, Structured Products, Equities, Bonds, Funds) and IBOR, EBA regulations and dealing with regional regulators

Relevant experience in private banking or wealth management in business management, financial analysis, operational and credit risk management roles.

Project management experience and experience in defining and tracking business/ IT requirements

Educated to Degree standard. Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CPA, CFA)

Proven relevant work experience

Person with strong investigative and analytical skills, meticulous and detail-oriented, proficient with statistical analysis and preparing charts and graphs

Strong process design and documentation experience

Proficient in MS Office applications (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, word) and macro

Strong communication skills with ability to clearly articulate one\xe2\x80\x99s viewpoints/ blockers / challenges and able to engage with various departments (front office, product owners, operations, legal and compliance, product control, finance, etc)

Ability to multi-task and excel under pressure / work in a fast-paced environment, work independently and possess a \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude

Good team player, independent and reliable

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
