Your future team:

The International Private Bank (IPB), spanning across EMEA, Asia and LatAm is undertaking a platform build out, as well as multi-year transformation initiative across IPB to deliver a modernized core banking platform that will serve as strategic foundation for the expansion and the evolution of the IPB business. The aim is to deliver a new booking center platform, as well as platform solution that enables the business to scale effectively and flexibly. The multi-year transformation program will change large parts of the technology and data landscape with impacts on operations. It is a unique opportunity to bring a meaningful contribution to J.P. Morgan's growth and strategic agenda.

We are looking for an experienced individual that will support the new booking center platform build out, followed by the implementation of the new core operational platform by planning and aligning design and implementation across all working tribes and squads. The candidate must have prior experience with core banking platform implementations, preferably with a Private Bank. You will closely work with various functions across the bank (e.g. business leadership, technology, legal, risk, compliance, controls, operations, finance).

What you will be responsible for:

  • Main responsibility to assist with the management of booking center build out program; identify and execute on required end-to-end strategy implementation and operating model build out.
  • Break down high-level strategic business goals into actionable and measurable deliverables, ensuring that the core platform design and implementation is aligned between Operations, Technology and our implementation partners.
  • Work independently and under minimum supervision to deliver project milestones. Be recognized as a key contributor to deliver on the project with exceptional quality and on time.
  • Frame out clear, feasible solutions and execute project deliverables in a timely manner. Effectively prioritize workload and keep others informed of progress with timely and consistent program updates reporting and documentation. Demonstrate attention to detail and consistently produce quality work
  • Ensure readiness and evidence of implementation across all delivery work streams - includes identifying issues and actionable opportunities and helping stakeholders design solutions
  • Produce program materials adapted to senior management needs with limited supervision, be proactive in improving program management materials (with regional and/or global peers)
  • Build relationships with all stakeholders, demonstrate the ability to identify, partner, and navigate with players and key SMEs and functions in JPMorgan
  • Proactively identify potential roadblocks / obstacles and escalate issues as needed. Contribute with your experience on how to overcome issues and challenges.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk and Control teams to timely identify and address areas of risk & regulatory exposure.

What skills and experiences we are looking for:

Members of the International Transformation Office possess strengths in project management, excel at building relationships, issue identification and resolution and are strong and effective communicators with the Business and Senior Management (regionally and globally). The position requires flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt within a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate must have experience in executing and/or managing booking center build out or platform operating model transformation projects in ideally with a leading private bank within a Business project office function.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant business side project management & execution experience in highly complex Financial Institution or Management Consulting firm.
  • Proven experience in having defined and executed Wealth Management booking center projects and / or Core Banking platform implementation for the business.
  • Must have knowledge of business process modelling and process transformation from front to back office, with profound knowledge in Banking Operations processes.
  • Highly disciplined individual, self-motivated, fast learner, performs well under pressure in dynamic environment.
  • Extremely organized and delivery focused with the ability to work independently and balancing multiple workstreams and priorities while remaining focused on accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to deliver solutions to a tight deadline regardless of complexity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment, with people at all levels across all functions including ability to engage with senior management.
  • Outstanding team player in supporting all other workstreams or initiatives managed by the ITO team; organized in taking comprehensive project management approach to all book of work.
  • Excellent communicator who can message complex information into a simple pitch, in both physical and virtual meetings. Strong (powerpoint) presentation skillset required to prepare program deck materials.
  • Working knowledge of the Wealth Management business, processes and systems required.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Jira & Confluence.
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree or equivalent
