What the role is:The Culture Academy (CA) of Ministry of Culture, Community and the Youth, of the Singapore Government Service, plays a key role in grooming the next generation of cultural leaders in the public sector. The Academy\'s work focuses on 3 inter-related areas: Leadership and Capability Development, Research and Scholarship and International Partnerships. To build and nurture leadership capabilities in the arts and culture sector, CA offers programmes and opportunities for our cultural leaders to hone their leadership skills and deep dive into cross-sector research so that they can grow professionally. The Academy also actively seeks platforms locally, regionally and internationally to showcase our cultural leaders so that we can achieve our vision of becoming a leading regional centre of excellence and knowledge for the development of cultural policy.What you will be working on:Working with immediate supervisor to engage key stakeholders such as National Heritage Board, National Arts Council and their respective and MCCY\'s family cultural institutions, and including industry players and governmental agencies within the Creative economy sector and beyond, the intern will be exposed to a variety of learning opportunities and undertake some of the following: a) Exposed to design, develop and implement training programmes which can involve activities such as analysing training needs, developing relevant cases and modules, identifying suitable learning & development interventions, implementing the delivery and conducting evaluation of training programmes. b) as part of development and implementation, exposed to training programme administration including managing participants and resource persons, arrange learning journeys, research and develop overseas trips, working with internal colleagues to administer/process programme fees, procurement and financial matters. c) compile relevant statistics, perform after-action review and recommend improvements to the programme, and leverage on technology for records/knowledge management and process improvement. d) assist in organisation-wide initiatives and projects to achieve organisation development and excellence such as supporting partnership accounts like the HR-Community of Practice that are relevant to the job portfolio as part of stakeholders\' engagement strategy.What we are looking for:

  • A sociable and spontaneous self-starter and team player with an inquisitive mind with good communication, interpersonal, organisation and administration skills and a keen eye for details and sense of responsibility. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in MS Office Applications and interested in technological applications and innovations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Interest in learning & development and the cultural sector will be an advantage. Internship Period : Any period between January - May 2025 for a maximum of 3 months either on full-time or part-time basis. For part-time basis, intern must be able to commit at least 3 days per week. Please indicate your period of availability in your application form.
