To gain a deeper understanding of economic sanctions and how sanctions and geopolitical events impact Financial Institutions.
To understand how Banks operationalise sanctions regulations and deploy various techniques to monitor, manage and mitigate sanctions risks.
Assist with the development of policies and procedures to properly manage and mitigate risks relating to sanctions compliance.
Monitor sanctions and geopolitical developments and performing impact analysis and drafting of broadcasts to the Group.
Analyse multiple sources of data to draw insights and intelligence to monitor and detect sanctions evasion activities.
Work on new technology, including data analytics and machine learning to better support the surveillance processes.
Support the team in research for updates to sanctions policies, frameworks and training material (e.g. collation of statistics to review the potential wire stripping policy).
Analyse Bank-wide sanctions-related statistics and assist in preparing reports and analysis for senior management reporting.
Assist with assessing, adding and updating names on the sanctions internal watch list.
Participate in sanctions-related projects and initiatives.
