Job Description

Under the guidace of an assigned mentor, the student would gain exposure to the works of the tax team in areas of tax accounting, corporate tax return filings, good and service tax return filings, transfer pricing report, and tax control framework. The student would also undertake projects on workflow automation and process improvement.

In your new role you will:

Verify, extract and analyse information for the preparation of tax work schedules

Render support in filing quarterly GST returns and annual corporate income tax return to IRAS Assist in performing GST health checks and ensure that the companu is GST compliant

Render support in preparing transfer pricing report for the company and its related entities

Prepare relevant tax and/or reconcilitation schedules for auditors

Undertake projects on workflow automation and process improvement

Render support in ad-hoc duties

Internship Learning Outcomes

:

Application and reinforcement of knowledge in analysis of financial statements for tax purposes

Understand the process of corporate tax, GST and/or transfer pricing compliance

Gain exposure to workflow automation and process improvement projects using relevant tools (e.g. KNIME, Tableu etc.)

Gain hands on experience of SAP accounting software

Enhance soft skills such as communication, presentation and time management skills Enhance interpersonal relations acress departments and management of situation in team settings through problem solving follow up and resolution of issues

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

On track to attain Diploma / Bachelor / Masters in Accountancy and/or Finance

Positive work attitude and willingness to learn Effective communication skills Knowledge in SAP / data analytics software is an advantage
