Job Responsibilities * Work on complex financial models using Microsoft Excel to analyze prospective investment opportunities across all property types, geographies, etc. * Provide analytical su Job Responsibilities Work on complex financial models using Microsoft Excel to analyze prospective investment opportunities across all property types, geographies, etc. Provide analytical support during the due diligence phase of new investment opportunities including, but not limited to, reviewing leases, financials, third-party reports and surveys, and market data Perform market and submarket research, including rental comps, sales comps, and economic and demographic trends that may have an impact on potential acquisitions or new investment strategies Assist in preparing memoranda and materials for the investment committee, as well as private placements Collaborate with the asset management, property management, finance/ accounting, development, and construction teams to accurately underwrite new acquisitions and prepare the teams for the acquisition and operation of new investments Responsible for coordinating and maintaining investment and development information database Assist in the coordination of the investment thesis together with the Asset Management team on the post-acquisition assumptions and operational metrics. Assist in the day-to-day due diligence process of any land, property or portfolio acquisition opportunities with both internal team members and external consultants. Respond to ad hoc requests of Senior Management members and prepare high-quality and timely responses to ad-hoc investor questions. Assist in the completion process of the opportunities that are being underwritten. The responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature of the work assigned and are not all-inclusive. Job Requirements: B.S. in Business, Finance, Real Estate or other financial or business discipline, with demonstrated academic excellence from a top-tier university CFA certification is an added advantage Core Competencies Strong understanding of investment fundamentals and a working knowledge of cash flow modelling and analysis Act as a team player with strong interpersonal/communication skills and writing abilities Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with excellent time-management and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to work effectively as part of a team across different disciplines. Detail-oriented and resourceful Technical Competencies Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint Experience Minimum of 2 years of finance or real estate, private equity or investment banking experience relevant to the above-listed job experience. Regional experience is essential.
