You will be actively involved in all stages of managing our Principal Investments portfolio and support strategic M&A activities in South East Asia and India. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to operate in other markets across the Asia-Pacific region. Key responsibilities: You stay abreast of macro/financial market developments and corporate finance activities in the (re)insurance industry through market research. You contribute to the evaluation of specific transactions and preparation of proposals, including development of investment theses, financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and transaction structuring. You assume responsibility for defined tasks in the execution of projects, including market data research, financial modelling, coordination of due diligence workstreams, and drafting of investment proposals. You monitor portfolio positions through analysis of financial reporting, participation in meetings with portfolio company management teams and preparation of monitoring reports and board briefing materials. You perform due diligence on investment targets, including handling external advisors and internal cross-functional teams effectively. You build meaningful relationships with business partners, clients and internal stakeholders. About the Team Principal Investments & Acquisitions (PI&A), part of Swiss Re's Group Asset Management function, manages a portfolio of direct equity investments in the insurance space (Principal Investments). As a global team of investment professionals, we monitor our existing investment portfolio and execute on new transactions. We are also responsible for the strategic M&A activities of the Swiss Re Group. About You . You have a college/university degree or equivalent. A degree in economics, finance or business management is preferred. . You have at least three years of relevant work experience in buy-side or M&A roles, preferably within the insurance sector. . You possess excellent financial acumen, critical thinking, and a flair for numbers working experience in complex financial modelling and analysis is a must. . You have excellent verbal and written English skills Bahasa Indonesia is strongly preferred and any additional relevant language skills are a plus. . You have strong knowledge of and experience working in the South East Asia (particularly Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam) and India insurance sectors. . You are comfortable working on multiple time sensitive projects at a time and handling highly confidential information. . You are good with people and able to develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. . You approach tasks independently with curiosity and flexibility. . As a team-player, you contribute to the overall team spirit. . You are passionate about working in a global and multi-cultural environment. . You are proficient in MS Office applications and Bloomberg. . You are willing to travel, at times at short notice, for transaction execution and portfolio monitoring.
