To support the revenue generating activities through timely and risk-controlled delivery of appropriate investment solutions
To assume primary responsibility for Private Wealth investment processes with the aim of increasing client penetration, share of wallet, product distribution and annuity income using in-house and third-party products, with a commensurate increase in profitability for the bank
To support the GIC in shaping the house views and messages with consistency.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To be the owners and ambassadors for the asset allocation process and model portfolio management, working with key stakeholders in the population of the portfolios, whether internal or external, being accountable to the GIC for generation of the five risk models, their upkeep and final delivery into the relationship centres; promoting suitable portfolios to the client base as per clients\xe2\x80\x99 risk profile; to create and manage model portfolios using all the tools at the bank\xe2\x80\x99s disposal and be responsible for their performance against agreed benchmarks, to suggest and support the strategic and tactical asset allocations, to be proactive members of the GIC providing inputs and views as required.
To support the asset allocation framework through education of RMs and clients, through regular seminars, presentations, monthly reviews of portfolio performance, with details around attribution, etc.
To promote the understanding and acceptance of portfolio products wherever and whenever possible, especially amongst those relationship managers not presently actively marketing these products.
To work with relationship managers to help them understand and manage their client portfolios comparing them to the model portfolios.
To generate incremental sales of focus products through close co-operation with the relationship management teams in Hong Kong and Singapore.
To help identify target clients within the internal staff in Asia Pacific and to develop profitable business relationships with these target clients \xe2\x80\x93 focused sales approach.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Relevant education, investment experience and proven investment track record in a private client framework.
Strong client focus.
Relevant experience of working in Asia Pacific region.
Excellent communicator with good presentation skills.
Experience in liaising with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
