Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC\xe2\x80\x99s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Investment Operations Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

The Alternative Investments Operations Team is responsible for the global investment operations function comprises transaction and fund services, portfolio operations, product/portfolio controllership for all alternative investments products of HSBC Alternatives. The Team operates from centres of excellence in London, Bangalore and Singapore.

Part of the Alternatives Operations Team, The Alternative Investment Operations Manager will be located in Singapore, will support the Operations Director, Alternatives on a number of business initiatives and operational processes to roll-out the target operating model for Alternatives investment capabilities managed and to be introduced at Asset Management Singapore and more broadly in Asia.

The role holder will be in charge of supporting the implementation of the operating model for new Alternatives investment capability managed by Asset Management Singapore. It will include mainly:

• Management of fund Operations and investment Operations, with focus on Real Estate and Real Assets investment capability under close collaboration with investment team, other support functions and offshore teams to deliver operations services
• Operate 1LOD controls of AMSG for the operational processes of Investment Operations
• Coordinate and assist internal client requests as well as for investment operations at AMSG
• Support the Operations Directors into animating the overall Alternatives Operations team, coordinating and consolidating internal queries and contributions to different internal business forums

• Degree qualification, preferably in finance
• Professional experience or exposure in alternatives investments products and business is preferable
• Ability to manage operational risk in a changing environment
• Must show ability to communicate clearly on various operational issues and to maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with clients, investors and colleagues
• Must possess effective multi-tasking, process management, organisational and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work to deadlines in an efficient and accurate manner
• Commercially focus and client-centric
• Ability to understand and consolidate diverse business information to translate into actions and propose operational solutions
• Demonstrate collaborative and supportive working relationship with the other business departments and functions
• Fluency in English; other languages are an advantage
