Job Description

We are looking to invite an ISBL Lead Engineer for our client whom is within the downstream petrochemical plant. This is a Contract position with one of the leading refinery clients in the world.

Responsibility

• Support Project Manager in defining the project specifications basing on latest industrial standards and local regulation/codes.
• Lead for project execution and management of project activities on assigned areas e.g. plot plan assignment/optimisation study, constructability review, piping routing, interdiscipline coordination, engineering contractors deliverables (project) review, scope of work review, closure of all outstanding issues in area of in-charge, provide project specification, develop scope and execution plan, lead assurance, provide phase 2 deliverables for area in-charge.
• Establish scope and execution strategy for cost estimation.
• Provide support to Project / Package Manager inachieving effective management and delivery of assigned project within budget,schedule & contract requirements and achieve these through the establishment of project targets and goals.
• Adhere to reporting requirements and support the Package Manager / Lead in weekly and monthly reporting of project financial status and progress to management.
• Help implement, monitor and achieve HSE, risk and quality targets for the project. Capture & document lessons learned on the project and dissemination of same within the project.
• Develop and plan the PEP (project execution plan) and ensure stage gate milestones are met.
• Ensure technical and commercial risk management processes are fully implemented.
• Monitor progress and assist with taking timely corrective actions where necessary to limit delay and risk.
• Implement Management of Change procedure.
• Project Engineer may also function as Tender Coordinator, if required, and will be responsible for supporting the Tendering Manager in bid package for submittal.

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering of Higher Project Design experience especially for onshore petrochemical / refining facilities
• Major Capital Projects Minimum 10+ year experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate design activities.
• Good working knowledge on FEED and Detail Design
