ROLE

The IT & AI Director will be responsible for leading the school's digital strategy, IT infrastructure, and AI-driven initiatives to support growth, innovation, and operational excellence. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring that the school leverages technology to enhance learning outcomes, streamline operations, and position itself as a forward-thinking international school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement the school's IT and AI roadmap aligned with overall growth and educational objectives. Identify opportunities to leverage AI and digital tools for teaching, student learning, and administration. Drive digital transformation to position the school as an innovation leader in international education. Advise leadership on emerging technologies and long-term digital strategy.

Infrastructure & Systems

Oversee the implementation and management of core IT systems, including Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and communication platforms. Ensure cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance with international standards. Build scalable IT infrastructure to support future expansion. Manage IT budgets, vendors, and technology partners.

AI Innovation & Growth

Design and deploy AI-driven solutions for personalized learning, admissions forecasting, and operational efficiency. Explore applications of AI in areas such as student assessment, teacher support, and parent engagement. Collaborate with academic leaders to integrate EdTech innovations into the curriculum. Support marketing and business development teams with AI-powered analytics and insights.

Team & Stakeholder Management

Build and lead an IT & EdTech team capable of executing the school's digital vision. Provide training and support for teachers and staff to adopt digital and AI tools. Act as the primary liaison with technology vendors, EdTech partners, and AI solution providers.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or related field. 10+ years of experience in IT leadership, with at least 3-5 years in AI, digital transformation, or EdTech. Proven experience in implementing enterprise IT systems and AI applications. Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance. Exposure to education, international schools, or EdTech start-ups preferred. Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to innovate in a start-up environment.
