We are seeking self-motivated individuals with a global mindset to be part of the Globecast family.We invite applicants for the following position: Position Title: IT & NETWORK ENGINEERDynamic position that demands mix of IT & Network environment to gear up the future proof solutions in the Broadcast/Media datacenter facility. Globecast looking for an enthusiast and "can do attitude" candidates who can take challenges as a pride with great responsibility to work with our IT & Engineering team.Responsibilities: The IT Engineer will be responsible for support and maintenance of in-house IT systems and company's growing IP related systems. It includes maintenance of VLANs, business application servers, VPN management, wifi network and media file delivery servers connected to broadcast network. Technical co-ordination and implementation of IP related services for video networks. This also includes maintenance of IT network of over 120 users in Singapore and remote offices in co-ordination of outsource vendor. Support, troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems Setup, installation and testing of new IT/Networks system as per project requirements. Oversee inventory of equipment and scheduled system maintenance The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of Active Directory, exchange email servers, firewalls, IP switches/Routers, web streaming, SNMP servers & ISP/internet circuits management. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of underlying networking technologies including remote access VPNs and security policies. Knowledge of video streaming technologies are highly desirable and added advantage. Good IT & network documentation abilities. You will grow your skill set and experience with many technologies and products such as: EIGRP, OSPF, IPSEC, VPN, Cisco ASA, FortiGate firewalls, multicast, BGP, Cisco Core Switches, multi layer switching, QoS, wireless, ISE, and many more. Globecast transport broadcast quality video in real time over IP networks for onward delivery over many TV platforms and as such the availability and performance requirements of our networks are very high.Skills & Basic Requirements: The candidate possess either computer engineering or BSc degree in IT/computer science or diploma with good experience. At least 6 years' experience in IT/broadcast industry. Anyone with lesser years' experience and have worked in broadcast/media industry could also apply is an added advantage. Working knowledge of Cisco network products and software including routers, switches, firewall, IOS software and associated management software. CCNA certified or higher(CCNP) is an added advantage. Experience with network security appliances (e.g. Cisco ASA / FortiGate). Experience with Multicast technologies in L3 and L2 environments environments for video delivery via IP is preferred and added advantage. Experience with Carrier grade routing and switching, including OSPF, EIGRP and multi-homed Internet access with BGP is an added advantage. Experience with Data backup systems and management. Working knowledge of EMC-Isilon or NAS storage systems Working knowledge with cloud environments e.g. AWS would be a plus. Candidates with very strong AWS Cloud/Architecture working experience are also encouraged to apply. Knowledge of Virtualisation technologies like VMware and managing such systems. Working knowledge of different Operating System ie Windows Server, Linux and Mac. Working knowledge of DNS, Active Directory, Exchange and Citrix Administrative knowledge on DB management for databases like MySQL, Microsoft SQL, SQLite3 & Oracle. Knowledge in Elastic DB like Maria DB, Azure will be an added advantage. Microsoft/Outlook Email Server system administration & management experience. Good technical analysis and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and capable of suggesting improvements. A good communicator and the ability to deliver good quality documentation and drawings using Visio network architecture/design diagrams. An enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work, able to work as part of a team, as an individual and under pressure. Able to see past problems and consistently deliver solutions.Extended Requirements: Experience in IT system management. Full understanding of underlying networking technologies and firewalls. Administrative level experience in managing NAS storage architecture will be and added advantage.The person should be capable of working independently with strong attention to details, effective communication skills.The position is based in Singapore.
