Job Description

We're seeking an experienced IT Application Solutions Manager, who can understand Business's needs and deliver future proven solutions to support Business growth and achieve company objectives. Supporting the Delivery Leader or Product Owner in delivering projects and shaping the application /platform roadmap to support future growth of the company.
Responsibilities:

• Perform IT application/platform backlog grooming regularly.
• Work with Business Owners & Product Owners to prioritize initiatives in roadmap planning.
• Work with the development team on software enhancement and facilitate development in agile or waterfall approach.
• Understand data flow and logical data structure, provide suggestions on solutions design.
• Facilitate and manage effort estimation exercise on time, manpower and any kind of resources that would assist in budget planning of the application / platform.
• Monitor deliverables and ensure accurate and timely completion of projects and enhancement.
• Manage competing resources and backlog priorities.
• Review deliverables from vendors, internal developers and consultants to ensure quality of the deliverables.
• Manage user acceptance testing and user demo to obtain business owner acceptance and signoff.
• Drive Continuous Improvement.
• Stay up to date on the latest IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
• Facilitate continuous improvement and implementation and collaborate with business owner and product owner to shape the future roadmap of the platform.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and influencing skills
• Good team player, open-minded and keen to learn
• Solid business acumen and integrated and critical thinking
• Understand systems and business process flow, identify business needs and determine ideal business flow and opportunities for improvement
• Understand Business products in order to participate in discussion with business product owners
• Data schema design
• Design thinking
• Experience and/or knowledge of Agile or Waterfall SDLC
• Experience within Insurance & Finance is preferred
