Aon's Benefit Index , Nomura's benefits rank #1 amongst our competitors Function Overview: Experienced IT auditor covering both IT infrastructure and applications, reporting to the AEJ IT Regional Portfolio Director. The principal role involves defining and executing IT assurance work over the regional business. The candidate will work closely with members of the Internal Audit team in the region, with some limited travelling required. Responsibilities:

• Perform risk assessments of Nomura's IT environment and assist in developing the annual audit plan
• Lead, plan and execute IT infrastructure and application audits and also work closely with Business auditors on integrated audits
• Design and execute data analytics for audit assignments. Understand data structures, develop and evaluate solutions to extract relevant data for audit testing. Develop, test and implement SQL data queries and analysis of the data using database server and desktop solutions
• Identify emerging risks, draft and report audit findings promptly to line management and senior management and suggest practical and innovative solutions
• Follow up audit recommendations post-audit, assess residual risk, validate remedial work performed and document and close issues
• Perform and document aspects of Internal Audit's quarterly continuous monitoring programme for IT, in order to identify changes to risk assessments, audit plan or audit universe
• Identify emerging IT risks and control themes to be included in management and Audit Committee presentations
• Learn, understand and apply the department's audit methodology

Requirements:

• Must have strong IT audit skills, knowledge of IT security, data integrity, technology risks and application controls within Investment Banking or Financial Services. Ideally possess some knowledge of the IT environment for Global Markets Operations business
• Prior experience in a data analytics role with hands-on experience working with data would be seen as an advantage. Data analytic skill and experience of data analytical and mining tools and languages (such as SQL Server, MongoDB, Graph, SSIS, Informatica, Python, R) and visualization technologies (such as Qlikview/Qlik Sense or Tableau) is preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task, work independently and proactively, demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivery
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills in English, and have the confidence to deliver tough messages and have difficult conversations
• A degree in IT or related disciplines is expected. Professional IT audit qualifications, e.g. CISA, CISSP or CISM, are also required.
• Minimum 6 years of IT audit experience is expected either at an investment bank or combined investment banking experience and some time at a large accounting firm. Some international experience is strongly preferred
