JR63216 IT EngineerResponsibilities:Define, design and implement core computing and storage system hardware and operating system solutionsData Center Management for highly-secure, highly-available, operations-centric datacenter environments in Singapore sites with exposure to asset management and capacity planning, vendor management with mounting works, asset impairments and degauss worksProvide L3 operational support with oncall support, including outside of office hours, and participate in Major incidents.Ensure SLA for incidents and service requests are met with high quality of work.Ensure KPIs, such as breach case target, MTTR and escalation target is met.Work alongside with our team of forward-thinking Engineers in our datacenter environments and interact with other technology teams, to build and maintain the Infrastructure for highly critical applications in those datacenter environmentsPerform changes in critical computing and storage infrastructure supporting Micron\xe2\x80\x99s manufacturing and engineeringEnsure security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability of Micron\xe2\x80\x99s core computing and storage resources with continuous improvement projects to ensureCollaborate with site customers and Engineering disciplines to develop Reference Architectures and technology standards based on Infrastructure Building Block for computing and storage environmentParticipate in Disaster Recovery planning and testing at the site level to ensure high class Infrastructure redundancy for computing and storageContinually work to improve operations and evolve the computing and storage environment to meet future demandsLead hardware and software refresh projects with strong collaboration with other technical teams and customers at the siteAble to drive Engineering efforts in automation and monitoring for computing systemsDirect the development and maintenance of technical documentation and align with server and storage administration best practicesParticipate in global IT troubleshooting events, global IT Project planning process and in rotational 24/7 Oncall for any local or global IT emergencies.Provide global L3 support for sites in North America and Asia, including on weekends and holidays.Review Level 2 case management process continually to improve operations by reducing the cases, minimizing escalations and evolve the computing environment to meet future demands.Requirements:Masters / Bachelors Degree with good honors in any Computer Science/Engineering field or an equivalent degree.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPassion to tackle business problems with application of technologyGood communication and interpersonal skills with a problem-solving attitudeAcademic know-how or internship experiences in the Infrastructure domain of IT with Knowledge of management ofWindowsRHEL Linux OSConfiguration of SAN/NAS environmentProgramming and scripting languages such as Java, PowerShell and Python.Splunk, Tableau or any analytics toolsDesire to learn hardware and virtualization technologies likeCisco UCS, HPE ProLiant, Dell serversVMWare, CitrixDell-EMC, NetApp, Pure StorageFamiliar with scripting languages will be added advantageCertifications from Microsoft, RHEL, VMWare, Cisco, DELL-EMC, NETAPP will have an added advantageAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
