Overview IT Field Service Engineers are technical staff in ST Engineering’s IT organisation who keep IT assets in good working order and ensure that they run smoothly every day. They are first responders who assist users who experience technical difficulties when operating any IT resource, be it hardware or software. Field Engineers work closely with other technical experts like systems, network, database and application managers, software developers and end-users to ensure that technical issues are promptly attended to and resolved.
IT Field Engineers have the following responsibilities:

• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
• Setting up accounts for staff, ensuring that they know how to log in
• Engaging computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter
• Ensuring record keeping on IT incident and service management system
• Responding to breakdowns
• Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
• Supervising junior engineering and technical staff
• Obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings
• Repairing equipment and replacing parts
• Managing inventory records of hardware, equipment, software
• Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies
• Coordinating and executing assigned IT project activities
• Serving as SME (Subject Matter Expert) in the designated ICT areas such as VC (Video Conferencing) or IT Asset handling and educating end-users on proper use and care of such IT hardware, software & systems

Qualifications IT Field Service Engineers should have at least a Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronic or Electrical Engineering. We prefer applicants with experience using, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting the IT systems incorporating the following technologies:

• X86 Personal Computers running Microsoft Windows 7 and 10
• Basic TCP/IP network equipment (switches, routers, structured cables, UPS)
• Microsoft Networking, Active Directory & SMB File & Printer sharing
• Microsoft Outlook and Exchange 2013
• MS Office 2010 and later
• Cyber security systems (Endpoint Security Software, VPNs, Firewalls)
• IOS and Android Mobile Devices and MDM
• SAP ECC6 and/or S/4 HANA
• Field Engineers are expected to be able to interact well with users and work co-operatively with IT colleagues in other disciplines to successfully support end-users.
• Working location is at Benoi / working hours from Mon - Fri: 7.30am - 5pm / islandwide transportation provided
