The Role
As an IT- Network Engineer , you will ensure the availability of the Bank's Local and Wide Area Network facilities through proper installation, configuration, and cabling of LAN/WAN communications equipment and ATM upon opening adequate outsourcing for the maintenance and upkeep of the said hardware due diligence with telecommunication providers/carriers administration of the equipment's system software and the provision of accurate recommendations or reviews for management or user consumption.
How you'll contribute
Establish networking environment by implementing system configuration installation, networking environment by implementing system configuration installation, documentation, and enforcing system standards to deliver quality products to the clients
Provide administration support on the communications equipment setup, including the PABX of Security Bank and SB Cards.
Ensure that the Bank's communications equipment is physically and electronically secure
Ensure that ITG, BBG, and SB Cards are informed of the latest technological and functional advances in telecommunications
Provide ITG, BBG, and SB Cards with technical and operational inputs for Front-End System product or service development
Handle application of leased lines for new branches and offsite ATMs
Provide support on the new branch, branch relocation, branch renovation, and new ATM
Serve as backup Support Engineer given overlapping technical expertise within the department
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology
At least 2-3 years of work experience
Knowledge of server installation, configuration, and hardening.
Knowledge of virtualization infrastructure. Knowledge in Storage System Administration.
Experience in administering an enterprise backup solution.
Experience in administering SAN storage environment.
In-depth analytical and troubleshooting skills. Resourcefulness and systematic problem-solving skills.
Organized presentation and reporting skills. Excellent Communication Skills.
Ability to collaborate with different IT units during problem resolution and incident handling. Able to assist in designing new technology infrastructures for upcoming projects and initiatives. Provides inputs in innovating the current setup to improve the existing processes. Participate and provide significant inputs during the regular change management process.
