The Role

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and professionally.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems reported by users and escalate complex issues to appropriate IT teams when necessary.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.

Network Administration

• Assist in maintaining the organization\'s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability.
• Perform regular network security checks and implement necessary measures to protect against potential cyber threats.

System Maintenance and Upgrades

• Conduct routine system maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and data backups.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute hardware and software upgrades for servers, workstations, and other devices.

Information Security

• Work closely with the security team to implement and enforce security protocols and measures to safeguard data and systems.
• Participate in security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.

Documentation and Training

• Create and update technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides.
• Conduct training sessions for employees to enhance their understanding of IT tools and best practices.

Vendor Management

• Interact with IT vendors and service providers to resolve issues, coordinate equipment repairs, and acquire necessary hardware/software.

Research and Innovation

• Stay informed about the latest IT trends, technologies, and best practices to propose innovative solutions and improvements to the existing IT infrastructure.

Your Profile

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as an IT Specialist or in a similar technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting hardware components and peripherals.
• Familiarity with network protocols, LAN/WAN configurations, and network troubleshooting.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
