As an IT Application Support Engineer you will be part of a team supporting the business by maintaining the software applications and related hardware; in particular, those computer systems related to sample testing, clinical trial management through to reporting. In this role, you will collaborate with business users, Vendors, IT Infrastructure team to implement, support and maintain the effective and efficient functioning of global applications.

Responsibilities

• As part of the IT Solutions team, you will contribute to the implementation and maintenance of computer systems including hardware and software applications for the global sites.
• Understand the Biopharma and laboratory business domain and provide a proactive, professional technical support service for applications following ITIL guidelines.
• IT Support and maintenance of business applications and related infrastructure to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of global business operations.
• Create productive relationships with key users, vendors, colleagues to ensure timely and efficient resolution of incidents/problems and prompt implementation of changes in line with Quality compliance and IT Service/Operational Level Agreements.
• Work closely and collaborate with the Business Operations and Information Technology teams to support laboratory systems, process improvements and contribute in setting up computer systems.
• System administration by co-coordinating requests for granting & revoking access to systems and information within agreed parameters; ensuring compliance with all IT security/data policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation / knowledgebase to ensure support, maintenance and recovery of all IT systems. Including system descriptions / configurations, change management, policies & procedures to meet Quality standards.
• Where required contribute to the training to ensure the correct implementation and use of the applications within the business.
