Serial System Ltd, a SGX mainboard listed Company, is a leading electronic component distributor in Asia Pacific, offering design support, technology solutions and services, materials planning and inventory management. We invite a suitably qualified candidate to fill the following position:

IT Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Provide User support on all IT related issues
• Install and update of approved desktop OS and applications
• Provide a timely support to users with desktop related issues (both hardware and software)
• Maintain and manage servers and network resources
• Carry out Backup/recovery operations
• Conduct IT Procurement and vendor management
• Update Documentation changes in the IT environment
• Manage and coordinate with the vendor on project implementation, enhancement, roll-outs, and post-go-live support
• Administration of computer systems and networks including CCTV, PABX, and door Access security
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve reported IT issues for daily operations
• Need to support other Serial offices in Singapore and oversea offices (remote support) when necessary
• Constantly monitor for attack and run appropriate defensive protocols if breaches occur
• Conduct vulnerability testing to identify weaknesses and collaborate with cybersecurity team to update defensive protocols as necessary
• Configure anti-virus systems, firewalls, data centers and software updates with a security-first mindset
• To keep up to date with security trends, threats and control measures
• Align company IT Security Policy
• Any ad-hoc task as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma in IT related discipline and preferably certified in any accredited network course
• Minimum 1-year hands-on experience managing the following:
  • Enterprise network
  • Security
  • Storage, backup/restore
  • Server management
  • User account management in various systems
  • User support on PC hardware, network and common applications
• Exposure to Linux and SAP will be an advantage
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in cybersecurity in a small to mid-size business
• Candidate with SSCP/CISSP certification is preferred
• Diploma holder with no experience will also be considered. Training will be provided
• Willing to work outside office hours when necessary
