The School expects all teaching staff, non-teaching staff and volunteers to share and uphold this commitment.The ICT Support Executive is responsible for supporting and facilitating the use of ICT equipment and applications by school members. NLCS (Singapore) will mainly be an Apple and Google/G-Suite School with teachers and students using Apple devices. This accounts for about 85% of ICT equipment. The remaining ICT equipment is Windows/Office based and is used by support staff (eg Finance, Admissions).Key Responsibilities: ICT Helpdesk Support Maintaining, installing and supporting the use of computer equipment and peripherals for curriculum and administrative use within the school. Keep all computers and printers in good condition. Install and configure a wide variety of software including Apple and Microsoft applications, Adobe products and specialist applications necessary for those students with additional learning requirements. Provide day-to-day ICT support including the first and second level support of the school's web-based applications. Communicate to staff/users through a series of actions either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues. Checking the operation of the school systems and reporting any equipment in need of repair or upgrade. To document and test all installations or alterations to hardware or software, and to ensure that the inventory is current at all times. To document problems and steps to resolve them using the school ICT Helpdesk system. Ensure an accurate record of software licenses used by the school and report infringements to the ICT Manager. If competent to do so, to make repairs to Desktops, laptops and add cabling etc. Liaising with external contractor/or equipment suppliers in the event of technical issues which require specialist inventory.Mobile Device Management (Jamf School) and Apple School Manager Configures, tests and provides service support of mobile device solutions including laptops and tablets. Ensures that all mobile devices and activations are in compliance with the school ICT policies and procedures in the Jamf School environment. Supports the school in the planning and deployment for mobile devices.Management of ICT Equipment & Consumables Need to have a strong Mac and Windows OS background. l.Provide initial troubleshooting for Mac and iOS devices. Troubleshoot and repair laptops and desktops as required. Support regular backup and updates and install new software. Fault handling; administer the lending/returning of IT equipment for Staff. Check and update inventory of ICT property regularly. Additional installation/collection after counting necessary quantities. Accident prevention.Maintenance of ICT Equipment in Classrooms Maintain the IWBs (Interactive White Board), Projectors, Audio systems. Manage the booking system of iPads and iPad trolley. Manage software at the ICT Director's request. Check and fix the Wi-Fi signals and AP issues and liaise with the Managed Service Provider for fault reporting. Maintain the classroom devices to ensure they remain in excellent condition.Maintenance of MFP (Multi-function Printer) Troubleshooting and repairs of various faults. Inventory check. Configuration management and firmware updates. Liaise with vendors e.g. troubleshooting and service delivery.Management of IP Phone Install and Maintenance of IP Phone devices and IP Phone switchboard system. Building numbering plan and repairing. Making an extension and network of emergency contacts.Administration Duties Maintain equipment/system manuals. Obtaining comparative estimates for purchasing ICT and reports. Sharing of work process data for improving business efficiency.Other Duties Providing support for school functions and events, on a rota basis, which may, very occasionally, involve weekend coverage. Providing cover and assistance for other parts of the school as required. Any other reasonable duties as assigned from time to time. Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development to support the needs of the ICT department and school.Safeguarding Abide by the school safeguarding policy and keep abreast of any changesQualifications/Skills Minimum Diploma and above in Information Technology or the equivalent.
