Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
Setting up accounts for new users
Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
Testing new technology
Update staff attendance into database and system
Verifies and maintains backup systems
Maintains the Fingertips document management system
Network maintenance
Data retrieval and/or recovery
Troubleshooting and maintenance
Creates and maintains email accounts
Liaises with vendors and purchases hardwares/software
Installs IT related equipment (PCs, Printers and Scanners)
Installs and maintains personal computers and printers systems in the offices, computer rooms and libraries
Installs and maintains internet and intranet networks
Maintains and improves on the wireless broadband networks
Provides necessary IT support to staff
Liaises and works with IT vendors for new project implementations such as the fingerprint system
Provides a help desk for all staff and lecturers to request help on PC troubleshooting, new PC requests and internal movements
Other duties as assigned
