Roles & Responsibilities Responsibilities:

• As the product owner of the Database Service, be responsible for management of database systems, including implementing relevant security standards and ensure high availability for the databases.
• Installation of various database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, MySQL and other Cloud DB service among others, running on various operating systems like Linux and Windows.
• Design, create and maintain databases based on business requirements.
• Perform upgrade of database software and apply patches as needed.
• Design and implement security standard and policies to ensure the security, integrity and accuracy of the database.
• Take the ownership of the database operations including; monitoring, management, disaster recovery, security compliance/auditing, networking, storage and service brokers.
• Work with Service Desk, Event Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management and Change Management Processes for all DB instances.
• Prepare, test and perform backup and recovery plan in the event of a disaster.
• Provide the supporting evidence and remediate for the potential findings captured.
• Perform regular database maintenance such as backup, statistics gathering and analysis and database reorganization.
• Replicate and migrate databases across different environments as required.
• Monitor and improve database performance and capacity, and plan for future business expansion.
• Provide assistance to application developers on SQL tuning and other database-related issues.
• Liaise with vendors on purchase, licensing and resolution of critical issues and bugs related to database.
• Provide on-call databases support as needed.
• Ensure maximum availability of all databases.

• Graduate in System Analysis or related IT.
• Knowlegde of C-programming, OOPCS, FOPCS, Data Structures,SQL,ASP.NET, Java, Android, Machine Learning, Software Analysis and Designing.
• 10 years of relevant working experience or more.
