A Java Developer (12-month extendable contract) job has just become available at one of the global banks in Singapore.

About the Java Developer (12-month extendable contract) Role:
In this role, you will be developing and maintaining the International Back Office Cash Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study, evaluate, understand and provide feedback on functional specifications
• Develop solutions following defined standards and high quality
• Provide detailed estimation for development of solutions
• Implement solutions using TDD, BDD approaches
• Perform non-functional testing
• Perform design and code review for other team members
• Prepare documentation for design and implementation
• Enable and support functional and user acceptance testing
• Support applications in production - analyse and resolve issues as they arise

To succeed in this role as a Java Developer (12-month extendable contract), you must have a minimum of five years of experience in Java, Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop.

Key Requirements:

• Able to design solutions using proven patterns, performance tuning
• Devops/release management/production support skills are strongly preferred
• Programming skills - Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring MVC/Angular JS, ELK Stack
• Relational databases - Oracle 12c /19c
• No SQL DB - Cassandra, HBASE
• Build tool - Maven/Ant, UML, Restful web services, Jenkins
• Source management -GIT, GITLab, TDD using Junit, Cucumber, Jira/QC
• Knowledge in IBM MQ is required
• Good to have: Knowledge of Apache Spark programming, Apache Kafka, and Hadoop management tools
• Understanding of corporate banking and cash management domain
