A Software Engineer - MSBI (12-month extendable contract) job has just become available at one of the global banks in Singapore.

About the Software Engineer - MSBI (12-month extendable contract) Role:
You will be responsible for designing and implementing an end-to-end solution around data management and analytics. Microsoft SQL Server components are used as core stacks of the solutions developed by the team to fulfil advanced analytics requirements with a focus on performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather business requirements from Clients or Business Analysts
• Design and develop solutions based on requirements
• Maintain a high standard of delivery quality
• Innovate and look for new solutions/components
• Build POCs to demonstrate new usage and present them in senior audience
• Elaborate project documentations (Design documents, deployment guide, etc.)
• Maintenance of existing BI projects
• Interact and provide reporting to project managers
• Ensure continuous improvement (such as automation testing, auto packaging, more efficient/optimised design, performance improvements, etc.

To succeed in this role as a Software Engineer - MSBI (12-month extendable contract), you must have five to seven years of experience in Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI).

Key Requirements:

• Seven or more years of relevant experience as an Microsoft Business Intelligence Software Engineer supporting the development of enterprise-wide complex data analytics information systems within major organisations, ideally in a banking environment
• Knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server (2014- 2019)
• Proficient in writing SQL queries and optimisation
• Strong understanding of database engine and data model
• Extensive knowledge of SSIS (2014 and 2019)
• Hands-on experience on SSAS Tabular cube development
• Knowledge in SSRS (2014 and 2019) and PowerBI
• In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework
• Solid hands-on experience in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modelling) and data mining
• Strong data troubleshooting skills
