Singapore\'s premier business daily, The Business Times, is looking for an enterprising journalist to be part of our South-east Asia team. Based in Singapore, you will have an important role in shaping BT\'s coverage of the region, with a sharper focus on the key markets of Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

You will get to work on features, commentaries and analysis pieces on topics such as the economy, energy, transport, startups and property, and conduct interviews with business leaders and other interesting personalities.

Every day brings with it fresh challenges. You will work closely with the News Editor and identify trends and topics that are of keen interest to our audience. Strong writing and analytical skills are prerequisites, while technical skills can be trained and honed. You should also be curious and questioning, have a determined approach to gathering news and mining for information, be able to build trusted relationships and embrace a growth mindset.

Applicants with at least three years of experience in financial or business writing or relevant working experience are preferred.

Job Requirements

• Excellent news judgment
• Relevant degree in Communications, New Media, Business, Finance, Journalism or any relevant fields
• Sharp news sense with a good understanding of content management for multiple platforms
• Demonstrates ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment
