Your role

We are looking for someone responsible for :

• input and execute trades for regional portfolio managers including sourcing borrow, managing pay to hold positions and ensure trades are booked timely and accurately.
• responsible in the reconciliation of trades between trade booking and risk management systems, identifying and resolving trade breaks
• perform trading duties such as position management, trade confirmation, trade settlement and reconciliation and handle portfolio manager requests/queries and work with internal/external stakeholders (e.g., Compliance, Operations) to resolve them
• provide middle office support back up to a global team - including FX/NDF bookings, Swap FX and trade amendments, OTC trade bookings
• research, analyze and interpret data related to specific companies and industries. Create financial models to help portfolio managers in their investment decision making process
• other ad-hoc duties as assigned by portfolio managers including analysis for the event-driven and arbitrage strategies.
• active participation in the team\'s daily morning meeting to provide any useful insights on markets.

Your team

You\'ll be joining the O\'Connor hedge fund business, with global AUM of $9.1bn of which more than $1bn of capital is allocated to the APAC team. This hedge fund has a relative value, low net, equity long/short mandate with multiple different strategies focused on the APAC region. The Asian equity markets are dynamic and volatile, you will have to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure accuracy of work when under pressure.

Your expertise

• graduate degree - preferably in Business/Finance
• 1-5 years\' experience in equity trading or middle office
• basic understanding of equity derivatives including futures/options and swaps
• MAS license
• competent financial modeling and analytical skills
• team player mentality with willingness to engage in dialogue and share
