Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst with a strong technical foundation in Java, Linux, SQL, and MariaDB, alongside experience using Jira and Confluence. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the accurate translation of business requirements into actionable technical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Technical Analysis

Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications. Collaborate with development teams to ensure technical feasibility and clarity of business requirements. Act as a liaison between business users and developers, facilitating clear and concise communication.

Java-Related Responsibilities

Understand and interpret Java-based code structures to better align requirements with system capabilities. Communicate effectively with Java developers, enabling faster problem resolution and better documentation. Assist in troubleshooting and clarifying system logic by reviewing Java application flows.

Linux Tasks

Access and analyze logs on Linux servers to support root cause analysis. Execute and interpret shell scripts and cron jobs used in automated reporting or data handling. Collaborate with DevOps teams to understand deployment and system behavior in production environments.

Database & Querying

Write and validate SQL queries for data analysis, reporting, and requirement validation. Navigate and understand MariaDB structures to map data flows, support UAT, and verify test cases. Support end-to-end data verification, ensuring business logic aligns with backend data models.

Agile Tools & Project Management

Create and manage user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria in Jira. Collaborate with cross-functional teams through agile ceremonies (standups, grooming, retrospectives). Track feature development, manage backlog items, and remove project blockers proactively.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

Maintain comprehensive documentation in Confluence including business processes, functional specs, meeting notes, and system behavior. Build shared knowledge bases and maintain accurate, auditable documentation trails. Facilitate workshops and walkthroughs using Confluence content as a source of truth.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role. Proficiency in Java fundamentals (reading code, understanding application logic). Working knowledge of Linux commands and navigating server environments. Strong hands-on experience with SQL and MariaDB. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams using Jira and Confluence. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. Experience in enterprise-level application development or SaaS environments. Familiarity with system integration and data migration projects.
