The team is responsible for the development, test, and delivery of new product feature enhancements, fixes, and maintenance updates across a range of components.

Job Highlights:

• APAC Shift (7:00am to 4:00pm PHT), Temporary Remote for 2022

Job role:
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be working with other dedicated engineers in our client’s Direct Market Access (DMA) team. The team is responsible for the development, test, and delivery of new product feature enhancements, fixes, and maintenance updates across a range of components.

You are already or will become a product and industry expert in key areas of the trading systems domain. You will work closely with QA team leads, software developers, and experts to develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases for automated and/or manual execution to ensure the high standard of product quality our client’s customers expect. You will advance to mentor other team members in the domain, products, and QA processes.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the full test lifecycle, including analysis & design, implementation, test execution, and release processes.
• Apply proven QA techniques and experience working with teams to fully understand requirements, establish appropriate test cases, execute tests, and report on testing outcomes of functional and non-functional testing, boundary testing, and other exploratory tests as required to assure system stability and operation.
• Follow directions from team-lead and achieve defined goals.
• Self-management of tasks and projects to agreed deadlines.
• Develop knowledge of the trading systems domain and company products.
• Work with cross-functional team members to advise and ensure appropriate QA occurs.
• Have a strong client focus, with an emphasis on quality and stability in line with service level agreements.
  

Requirements:

• Overall experience.
• 3-4 years of experience in software engineering and/or quality assurance.
• Familiar with software development and test automation.
• 2 years in any scripting or programming language. Python or C++ is a bonus.
• Experience in QA of the user interface based or API/programmatic based testing.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience with continuous integration / continuous delivery desired.
• Capital-markets and/or Financial Services knowledge (Trading, Market Data, protocols) desired.
• Cross-platform experience (Linux and Microsoft Windows) desired.
• Experience with financial, transactional, or message-based (e.g. FIX, FIXFAST, SBE) systems desired.
• Practical Agile development knowledge and experience desired.
  

Education:

• The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and/or relevant industry experience.
