Job role:
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be working with other dedicated engineers in our client’s Direct Market Access (DMA) team. The team is responsible for the development, test, and delivery of new product feature enhancements, fixes, and maintenance updates across a range of components.

You are already or will become a product and industry expert in key areas of the trading systems domain. You will work closely with QA team leads, software developers, and experts to develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases for automated and/or manual execution to ensure the high standard of product quality our client’s customers expect. You will advance to mentor other team members in the domain, products, and QA processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and support automated test frameworks for real-time market data processing
• Create, optimize, and refactor existing automated test scripts, programs, and reports
• Build and extend testing frameworks with input from developers and testers
• Implement software using best practices including CI/CD.
• Investigate problems in software as a result of testing
• Investigate problems in the testing infrastructure
• Review test plans and determine needed test framework enhancements
• Coordinate test implementation across engineering teams
  

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in C/C++ programming skills.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Python programming.
• Experience with HTML5, Git, Jenkins, and Docker
• Strong ability to create and design test automation and test infrastructure.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in developing and maintaining large Code base
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automated testing of large applications.
• Understanding of Linux operating systems and programming environments.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in developing applications using TCP/IP protocol.
• Familiarity with performance measurement and tuning.
• Experience in generating, storing, and reporting test results is a plus.
• Knowledge of stock market data and quote feeds a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies a plus.
  

Education:

• The position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and/or relevant industry experience.
