Job Description

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESJunior Quality Engineer is responsible for making sure that the engineering and manufacturing process are performed correctly using the calibrated and right tools, correct material specs and processes.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES1. Support the Quality Manager and Quality engineer(s) by providing administrative function to the quality department.2. Review and sign-off of the material certificate, certificate of conformance, and testing report.3. Liaise with supplier/customer on material certificate-related matters.4. Assist Quality Manager/Superior in implementing the Quality Management System.5. Work with Quality Supervisor/Lead & Quality Manager to monitor process study for improvement in efficiency, manpower saving, and optimal method.6. Assists Quality Engineer in customer complaint and internal quality issues investigation and in driving corrective and preventive actions to prevent a recurrence.7. Liaise and Coordinates with TPI (Third Party Inspector) for the job requirement that needs inspection and arranges TPI activities as per Plan schedule.8. Assist in ensuring the use of calibrated measuring equipment is practiced for both production (product-related) and quality departments and the Calibrated Measuring Equipment log is maintained.8.1 Maintenance and updating of QMS documents.8.2 Maintain & update customer spec, international standard spec (external document folder).8.3 Check with EM on any latest revision of the customer's spec.8.4 Source & purchase the latest revision of the standard specification8.5 Maintain and update PP, WI & Forms, ensure latest revision is in shop floor and update doc. in server.8.6 Maintain internal materials & product specification (update the buyer/purchaser/suppliers on any up version of the spec).8.7 Maintain Training Records (S 1-026F) for all employees.8.8 Monitor and dispose of quality document (excluded dossier) according to stated retention period and ensure proper quality documentation and compilation is in place.8.9 Support in achieving the departmental Key Performance Indicator (KPI).9. Compiles quality documentation package (dossier) and ensures correctness and completeness prior sending to customer10. Employee will be expected to comply with any reasonable request from his/her manager to undertake work that is not specified in this job description.11. Ensures 5S is implemented in the work area.12. Adheres company's guidelines with regards to Safety and Quality.13. Complies to Company Code of Business Conduct.14. Support and participate in company-wide or departmental programs such as: . Total Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing . Social ActivitiesREQUIRED COMPETENCIES1. Must complete minimum training required specified in Employee Qualification and OJT Form No. S 1-026F.2.
