This role sits within 1 of the 2 platforms: (i) Fund Management and (ii) Investment. The Fund Management platform focuses on raising capital and forging stronger relationships with investors. The Investment platform aims to drive capital deployment decisions and horizontal integration to create value for our investors. Together, we aim to create value and deliver sustainable returns for our investors through a range of products including listed REITs and business trusts and private funds which invests globally into real estate, infrastructure, data centres and alternative asset classes. The intern will be responsible in the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform investment due diligence including, but not limited to, financial and business analysis, financial modelling, transaction structuring, ESG analysis, macroeconomic and industry research on prospective investments. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform various tasks related to portfolio management & monitoring, fund marketing efforts, and assist with preparation of external investor communication materials and responses to investor requests. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare internal investment committee memos, market research, monitoring current investments, and new deal origination \xe2\x80\xa2 Work closely with the Legal, Risk & Compliance, Finance and Treasury functions as appropriate for all ancillary activities in support of the lending business, such as KYC, risk analysis, funding arrangements, financial forecasts etc. Learning Outcomes: \xe2\x80\xa2 Gain a deeper understanding of the private credit market \xe2\x80\xa2 Gain a deeper understanding of the entire capital spectrum ranging from senior debt to straight equity and the role of private credit/mezzanine instruments in a company\xe2\x80\x99s capital structure. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop a greater appreciation of the investment due diligence process \xe2\x80\xa2 Sharpen investment analysis and financial modelling skills.JOB REQUIREMENTSJob requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Pursuing an academic degree in a relevant field of study such as business management, finance or accounting etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good practical knowledge of finance and investment concepts, including equity analysis, credit risk analysis, financial modelling, valuation etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Past internship experience in related fields such as investment banking, leveraged finance, project finance, structured finance and/or private equity would be a plus. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency in financial modelling would be a plus \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work effectively in a collegial, collaborative, fast-paced and high-growth environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Good team player with a strong initiative and the ability to perform with minimal supervision and within tight timeframes.BUSINESS SEGMENTInfrastructurePLATFORMInvestment
