We are looking for a Key Account Manager, Specialties Singapore,Singapore (SG) Reporting to the Sales Director, Specialties - Asia Pacific, the incumbent responsible for the full P&L for respective product lines with the following responsibilities : -

  • Lead implementation of sales strategy for SEA and supports our 3rd Party Agents in this geographic area for Specialties Business. This includes Identification of existing and potential customers, their needs (value propositions), competitive scenario and taking actions with making contacts with customer, to implement sales strategy, to meet sales targets for Specialties
  • Plan, carry out sales activities to achieve sales targets by calling and visiting existing/prospective customers to understand and identify their needs to create a long-term customer supplier relationship
  • Develop proposal on sales and marketing, and ensure account strategy are exploited consistently.
  • Further secure business opportunities by identifying customer needs in terms of product application, services requirements, identifying buying cycles, delivery schedules and pricing structure for specialized products within the appropriate business segment, including necessary information provided to other functions, e.g. credit control, logistic, customer services
  • Negotiate business to comply with price guideline and if any deviations, to be followed in line with DoA
  • Follow up and ensure timely payment of receivables to meet established sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Propose appropriate products and services to persuade the customers for INEOS Styrolutions’ business
  • Provide technical information to the customers and carry out trials and various activities in order to get an approval for customer’s usage.
  • Identify customer profile of Key Account Management
  • Identify and profile distribution infrastructure, to service customers/supply network
  • Follow trends in Specialty polymers, technical development, market activities and explore opportunities/threats for INEOS Styrolution products and report to supervisor for suitable actions jointly
  • Collect customer data/ information/ feedback/ expectation, prepare for presentation/ seminars workshops to promote the products and services
  • Research, identify and develop existing and potential customer portfolio.
  • Monitor, analyze, assess and communicate monthly sales data to supervisor and propose product/ service planning, revision of strategies, identify business opportunities, pinpoint problem areas and provide solutions.
Required profile:

Level of education & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor degree of Chemistry, Business or related subjects

Experience in general:

  • At least 5 years of working Sales and Marketing experience in the polymer industry
  • Familiar with product line/applications and typical customer requirements
Technical skills:
  • Plastics/Polymer Knowledge.
  • Familiar with product line/applications and typical customer requirements
  • Good written and spoken English
