Job Description


Location: Outram Road 5 days work Candidates with no experience will be considered


Purpose of Job You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing Kids\xe2\x80\x99 Weekday Care.

Responsibilities Kids\xe2\x80\x99 Weekday Care (KWC)

  • To take responsible for the supervision of Kids\xe2\x80\x99 Weekday Care programme
  • To work closely with parents, social worker, school teachers and external facilitators to provide an enriching and educationally sound experience
  • To develop the structure of the program based on the needs and interests of the students and their parents, manage the program staff, operations and volunteers and maintain relationships with the community
  • To help improve children literacy skills, assist them with developing interpersonal skills or help them improve their academic performances
  • To manage evaluation and assessment procedures of the program. Through both formal and informal assessments, tracks the progress of the program and individual students and provide progress reports to parents, schools and the sponsoring organization
  • To ensure that environment/space is safe for children, volunteers and facilitators during KWC sessions.
  • To build relationships with schools, parents, and community groups to create awareness about the program and build support for it. Engage with parents, community groups, and school representatives to discuss the program and its benefits and seek feedback on how it can better serve children.
  • To research suitable programmes and activities for children of different age group.
  • To recruit volunteers and also responsible for giving the volunteers proper training and guidance so that they can fruitfully cater to the needs of the children
Empowering Kids:
  • To plan activities for the juniors ranging from 7 to 12 years old.
  • To be responsible for the supervision of these activities
  • To research regarding the activities and programs that are suitable for a particular group of children
  • To recruit volunteers and also responsible for giving the volunteers proper guidance so that they can fruitfully cater to the needs of the children
General:
  • To interpret and give information on the programmes and policies to members, staff and the general public
  • To assist in any other general programmes or activities organized
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Social Science/Services is preferred.
  • Candidate without working experience in Social Service related work can be considered.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
