Position Overview: We are excited to offer an enriching opportunity for a Food and Beverage Individual who will take on the role of a Kitchen Assistant. As a vital part of our culinary team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in food preparation, kitchen organization, and teamwork. Working hours: Weekdays 3 Full shift & 1 Pm Shift Monday to Friday 12pm to 10pm (Full Shift) Pm shift - 5pm to 10pm
Weekends 2 Full Shift Saturday and Sunday 11am to 11pm (Full Shift)
Close every Tuesday unless it fall on a public holiday
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: l Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, and measuring. l Follow recipes and instructions provided by the kitchen staff to ensure accurate and consistent food quality. l Contribute to the cooking process by assembling dishes and performing basic cooking techniques under supervision.
Kitchen Organization: l Maintain a clean and organized work environment by washing, sanitizing, and storing utensils, equipment, and ingredients. l Ensure that work stations are kept tidy and ready for efficient food preparation.
Inventory Management: l Assist in monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying the kitchen manager when restocking is needed. l Rotate stock and practice proper storage techniques to minimize food waste.
Support in Service: l Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of dishes during service hours. l Communicate effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
Food Safety and Hygiene: l Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene practices to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of food products. l Follow proper handwashing and sanitation procedures consistently.
Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and workshops provided by the establishment to enhance your culinary skills and knowledge. Seek opportunities to expand your understanding of different cuisines and cooking techniques.
