Job Opening: Kitchen Cook Assistant (Western dish)

Position: Kitchen Cook

Location: Sembawang/Yishun

Working Hours: Full-time


: As a Kitchen Cook Assistant, at Lim Ji Pte Ltd, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of western dishes. Working under the guidance of experienced chefs, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our dishes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring quantities accurately.
• Execute cooking techniques and follow recipes to prepare dishes according to our standards.
• Fry/ Boil/ Grille food in various utensils or grillers
• Monitor food cooking processes to ensure proper timing and consistency.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of orders.
• Assist in food plating and presentation, paying attention to detail and aesthetics.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
• Collaborate with other team members to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
• Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and waste reduction efforts.
• Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and communicate any concerns or challenges.

• Proven experience as a Cook or Kitchen Cook in a professional kitchen environment.
• In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and culinary principles.
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering satisfactory dishes.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
